Model-making fosters spatial play and nurtures a child's dexterity, as well as other cognitive skills such as planning, problem-solving, and logical thinking. Model-making activity was organized for the students of Grade VII with reference to the Science chapter, “Transportation of Materials in Plants and Animals” during their Science period. Students made captivating meticulous models of the human excretory system from materials available at their homes and presented them to their peers in the class. They labelled their models with clarity. The activity enabled the students to understand the complex concept of the excretory system. They enjoyed making the models and participated with great zeal and enthusiasm.
