Through the development of critical thinking, creativity, imagination, and innovation, arts integration offers a powerful way to create a new learning environment consistent with the cognitive and expressive demands of the 21st century. Students engage in a creative process that connects an art form with another subject area and meets evolving objectives in both. An art-integrated poster-making activity was organized for the students of Grade VIII during their Math period in reference to a chapter ‘Quadrilaterals’. Students made alluring posters on the ‘Rumtek Monastery’ of Sikkim. Students highlighted the role and significance of the mathematical concept ‘quadrilateral’ in embellishing the monastery. The activity enabled students to appreciate the real-life application of Math.
