Grade III and IV Raisin Osmosis Experiment Grade III & IV students of Jr. Scientist club performed the Raisin Osmosis Experiment which allows kids to observe osmosis, the movement of water through a semipermeable membrane, using raisins and water. As the raisins sit in the water, water molecules move into the raisins, causing them to swell and become plump. This experiment helps children understand how water interacts with objects and the concept of osmosis in a hands-on and engaging way. ""
