Through the development of critical thinking, creativity, imagination, and innovation, arts integration offers a powerful way to create a new learning environment consistent with the cognitive and expressive demands of the 21st century. Students engage in a creative process that connects an art form with another subject area and meets evolving objectives in both. Poster making activity on the art form of Sikkim and Maharashtra was organized for the students of Grade VII during their English period. Students made enticing posters on different art forms of Sikkim and Maharashtra like handloom weaving, Thangka painting of Sikkim, and Paithani sarees of Maharashtra. They also wrote an article on the art forms. The art form was creatively embellished with pictures and information. The activity promoted collaboration and teamwork among the learners.
