Students usually have an innate curiosity about the world around them. The science lab encourages this curiosity. As they investigate and discover new things, they develop their thinking skills and gain knowledge about the world around them. Science Lab activity was conducted for the students of Grade VII with reference to the chapter “Nutrition in Plants” during their Science period. An experiment to test the presence of starch in a leaf was demonstrated by the teacher which fostered the observation skills within the students. They were able to identify the action of iodine solution on a leaf to prove the presence of starch and have a better understanding of photosynthesis in green plants. Humongous excitement and curiosity were evident among the learners. ""
