As part of their syllabus, Grade 11 Psychologist engaged in an interaction with a psychologist to know more about the field of Psychology, routine of psychologists, kind of work they do, how does it affect them and what they wish needs to change to support their profession. The students interacted with Ms. Bavitha Thomas who has her M.Sc. In Clinical Psychology and a post graduate diploma in Clinical Hypnosis currently affiliated with Chhatrabhuj Narsee School on 2nd July 2025 between 9am to 10am. It was an online interaction.
The students brainstormed and collated a few questions to be asked to the psychologist such as, how does the psychologist deal with violent patients, how are anxiety issues among teenagers addressed by them, what are their recommendations about improving mental health of school students, their perspective on LGBTQ+ population and dealing with them etc. These questions were answered during the interaction and the students engaged enthusiastically. Most of them had follow-up questions and showcased curiosity to know more about the field. The students found the interaction insightful and inspiring.
