“Thanksgiving Day is a good day to recommit our energies to giving thanks and just giving” Amy Grant The morning lays the foundation for the day, and our assembly sets the stage for our students to refresh their spirits, uphold strong moral values, and channel their energy. Assemblies serve as a wellspring of inspiration, enriching and expanding students' interests. With great enthusiasm, the students of 9H at Amanora School presented an enlightening assembly on the topic, “Thanksgiving Day." This engaging presentation aimed to appreciate the significance of Gratitude in our daily life. The festival’s origin are traced back to 1621 when a harvest feast was held between a native tribe who had occupied the land long before and the newly settled English colonists in America. On Thanksgiving Day loved ones gather under one roof to enjoy a hearty meal, play games and have fun. Thanksgiving Day symbolizes gratitude, unity and reflection. It has historical roots in religious and cultural traditions. It’s a day to express gratitude for the blessings of the past year. It’s a reminder to pause amidst life’s challenges and appreciate life’s joy. The assembly commenced with the school prayer followed by the pledge. The program advanced with the following segments. ● Word of the Day, Thought of the Day, News updates ● Skit on the information about the Thanksgiving Day ● The assembly was followed by ‘Teacher’s Talk’ delivered by the class teacher. The students of 9H presented their assembly extremely well & executed well through their team work. ""
