The students of Grade X gathered to celebrate a momentous occasion – Constitution Day, also known as Samvidhan Divas, which marks the adoption of the Constitution of India. On this day, 26th November 1949, our Constitution was formally adopted by the Constituent Assembly, laying down the framework for the governance of our country and ensuring justice, liberty, and equality for all. Our Constitution is not just a legal document, but a reflection of the values and principles that bind our diverse nation together. It was drafted by the Constituent Assembly, headed by Dr. B.R. Ambedkar, who is known as the principal architect of the Indian Constitution. The assembly began with prayer, word of the day and thought of the day. On this day, we also remember the values enshrined in the Preamble of the Constitution, which begins with the words: "We, the people of India, have solemnly resolved to constitute India into a Sovereign Socialist Secular Democratic Republic and to secure justice to all its citizens: justice, social, economic and political; liberty of thought, expression, belief, faith and worship; equality of status and of opportunity; and to promote among them all fraternity assuring the dignity of the individual and the unity and integrity of the Nation." This was very well narrated by our students to make them understand the importance. Taking the assembly further, Ms. Rashmi Sharma gave a speech upon the adoption of the Constitution and ma’am discussed the Fundamental rights and Duties of a citizen with the students. As students, it is important for us to understand our rights and duties under the Constitution. It is our responsibility to respect and uphold the values of democracy, equality, and justice. The Constitution gives us the power to question, to debate, and to engage in the democratic process. It also reminds us of our duties towards the nation and each other. Let us strive to be responsible citizens who contribute positively to the progress of India. A quiz session was also conducted to enhance the knowledge of children. The assembly thus concluded with an insight shared by the Grade IX and X Co-ordinator Ms. Geetha Shivakumar. In conclusion, Constitution Day is not just a day to reflect on our past, but a day to reaffirm our commitment to building a more just, equal, and inclusive society. As we celebrate this day, let us remind ourselves of the power of the Constitution in shaping the future of our nation. Thank you. Jai Hind! ""
